I'm such a pseudo-structure whore so here we go:
Friday:
Dinner:
Pizza from Italian Delight or Leytin with 1 Monster Energy Drink.
1.5 hour long HoNcast Inhouse with Ventcase (<3).
Post Dinner Activities:
One of the four games listed with priority in mind...
1) Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale.
2) Mother 3.
3) Final Fantasy 3.
4) Chrono Trigger.
Saturday (no real order);
1) Books - A+ certification (2 chapters worth of review) and 1-2 chapters of 48 Laws of Power.
2) Food - Left over pizza, 1 Monster energy drink and possible a donut or cookie from WaWas.
3) Games - More of the game from the previous evening and possibly minecraft...castle work is needed.
4) Music - Eurodance when my brain needs the rest.
Sunday (once again no real order).
Based on how much sleep I've acquired and where I've gotten on my reading and games I'll make my decision from there. Tis a day of rest after all.
Thoughts?
Note: I realize it needs more zombie juggling there own dismembered parts on segways while on a Richmond tour trolley but tis the best I can do on short notice.

Now for a more proper post
The weeks seem to fly by now. I'm not sure if its due to the fact that I actually enjoy my new job more than the previous or if there's more things to do on and off. Last night I got about 6 hours of sleep but I felt completely refreshed so really can't complain. Equally sleep didn't hit me after lunch so that was a huge plus. Though before I plow on through my day let me reflect back to yesterdays post.
For starters the walking yesterday definitely payed off due to the information above and not only that allowed me to listen to more Lord of the Rings audiobook. I'm going to make it a habit now to walk at least 30 minutes a day which I may evolve into running but will see. Speaking of which I still need to go walking today. As for battle of westnoth, for any person or enthusiast of turn based strategy games I would highly recommend it. The round I played yesterday wasn't shabby but definitely had some balance issues.
It was myself along with two other friends who were playing a 3 player map. I choose to play Elves, another Dwarves and the last Orcs (which I thought the Orc player would go undead). The match lasted for a good bit and I greatly improved sense my last session though there was definitely room for improvement. One factor that's really lame (and with every 3 person game) is that balance becomes a huge issue in the fact that usually two people will gang up on one person for one reason or another. That or the reverse in which two people conflict and the person seems to prosper as a result. Lose lose to be honest. None the less with 1v1 or more people I can definitely see it being a whole lot of fun. I plan to do a solid review of this game in the future as it needs the justice done for it.
As for the new pizza place I'm kind of in the air with it at the moment. The pizza is a bit price and some of the left over pizza I saw there was greatly unattractive. Though I may give it the benefit of the doubt and go for it anyways. The other problem I have with it is location in which I have to travel through 2 busy shopping centers to get to it which is a bit of a downer. I'll probably sleep on it before ordering. Lastly the sewing/crocheting group. I haven't called yet but plan to in the near future.
Alright let me get on about....whatever I was going to talk about after this little rant. Oh right my day.
Overall not to bad work is of course keeping me busy the way I like it most. That and found out a lot of neat benefits of CarMax after the one year mark so that's another incentive to continue the good deeds. Not saying I wouldn't but alternative options still cross my mind at times. Equally got double praised today at work for providing another recommendation and asking a key questions. The recommendation I provided (inadvertently) was printing off my timesheets, scanning them and sending them to my team lead. He said usually people don't do that but thought it was an interesting idea. So I'll be his guina pig for that project which should be for a bit. The other point to note was I asked a simply question like 'how am I doing thus far'. He said I was doing 'ok/fine' which I guess was a note of relief as I thought I was...as usually...under rating myself and assuming I was doing mediocore / ok. Those are the main highlights of work and now back home to rant about other stuff!
This evening has gone fairly well too. Just finished dinner and gonna blog for a bit before heading upstairs to read and sleep. I might play some games for a bit before I head off to bed but haven't decided as of yet...as to if I plan to play games along with what title. Fairly open to ideas so will see.
For the weekend I've already made up my mine. Going to play Recttear for countless hours at a time until my mind breaks or I get bored...seeing how its Animal Crossing + Diablo I think I'll be fine. Reading will occur as well though no predefined time. That along with a caffine buzz good times shall be had. Anywho off for a bit later all!.

14 hours of sleep in 3 days
No significant update for tonight just going to keep it brief. Work went smoothly thought it was a bit busy as usually and the original task I wanted to finish this week I may not complete but will see how it goes. After work today I went walking as I promised myself so hopefully (at least right now) I'll be tired enough to get some rest. Played a round of Battle of Westnoth with 3 people overall went pretty smoothly. Found a new pizza place too I plan to visit this weekend and talked to a random person about a sewing group. Such a bizzare and wonderful day...sleep now night. I'll provide details a bit later.
PS weeks still seem to fly by.

One week later I return!
For the past week or so I've been a bit busy there I had anticipated. Though not blogging last week was probably out of sheer laziness. That could be argued though as Thursday i was playing board games with friends, Friday I didn't quite much feel like blogging as I had the weekend with a hangout session a head and that's always an incentive killer. Overall the weekend went smoothly I must say with a hangout session with a friend I hadn't seen in quite sometime. Some board games and silly methods of killing time ensued. Sunday was pretty slow too though I did make the final touches to my board game case. I finished most of it over the weekend. below are some pictures :)

Quick Edit: List of games in said box:
1st Column:
I'm still thinking about making a wooden case (as others have done before) but for the time being this seems to fit my needs. Silly as it sounds there's a lot less stress on my back which I'm a huge fan of as the number of games I was carrying was getting a bit silly. However with this carrying case and it will be much more portable. Equally I can carry more board games as well (Catan expansions for starters, the size of the box was difficult to fit in my bag along with my other games). The only games I still can't freely carry are Quelf, Risk, Guesstures, Munchkin, Manacala, and Monopoly. I'll get to the drawing board on that but first I have to pick up my new activity...knitting.
I realized that if last year was anything like the previous year that my two main expenditures (aka want spending) would be video games and board games. Video game spending isn't too difficult to control as I have a lot of the steam games I want and for the most part I only buy games during sales. However board games are fairly easy to purchase as their price is static and all I have to do is jump on amazon and confirm my credit card number. I'm finally understanding what people mean by 'swipe and forget' as that has happen at least once. So in order to pacify that I decided to pick up various hobbies.
The harmonica I got was a good start and a bit random I must add but appreciated none the less. Next I've found a few audiobooks that fit my fancy (some how I'm still enjoying The Hobbit more than Lord of the Rings, at the end of the 2nd book so far), along with actually books. Right now reading through 48 Laws of Power and need to give my A+ book some attention. Knitting I had given some thought but hadn't sold myself 100% to it as of yet. I must admit I do enjoy watching people do constructive things (drawing, painting, knitting, etc) though the final product makes me shrug mostly. The construction, admiration, frustration, and other elements is what I truly find...neat. I'm gonna start off doing what I did for the harmonica and look up some youtube links and go from there...hopefully a month from now I'll have some interesting creations and techniques down. Cooking was the other choice but I declined on that one mainly because I know that overtime it could increase to silly amounts cost wise...ya I'm cheap leave me alone.
The week thus far...?
Fairly busy at work, I was able to locate someone to fix the printers at work so that was a plus and the past few days have been filled with absurd amounts of business from taking on more work. For most of the work that I do there's no real 'dead line' so its a matter of getting tickets done as soon as possible and moving on to the next. The amount I've learned thus far has been crazy and I'm sure the next (if necessary/possible) SQL position I take I'll be able to adapt quickly. Haven't had much sleep this week though ended up getting 4 hours last night...not sure what that was all about. Starting to think I should start exercising again just to make sure I'm exhaust before going to sleep. I do intend to bring my 20 lbs weight upstairs and get a few reps in before rest.
As for the rest of this week.
Not a whole lot plan. I'm thinking about adjusting myself back to solitude again as my last attempt wasn't all that great. I still plan to attempt hanging out with friends but over this past weekend a thought struck into my mind about moving out. One person distinctly came to mind who had been living by themselves for a good 2 years now and seem fairly content with life. I recall I was the same a few years ago and lost that element. Starting to think if I find it again then stick around my dad's place won't be too bad. I already decided that by the time I'm 30 I do plan to move out but by that point I'll be more than set. Then again its hard to tell if my train of thought won't change at that point.
I've already conclude that if I do move back to the West End that one group of people I usually hangout with will be 30 minutes away, so the option of hanging out with them will be increasingly limited. If anything I would have less people to hang out with as a result of moving back to the West End. Though I would have a handful of friends near by but I'm not sure how often they would be free to hangout. The possibility that I maybe feeling more lonely as a result of moving is a bit pressing. I will need additional time to ponder. I must admit though that there is a great deal more things to do over their then there is here...I plan to sleep on it soon otherwise I may over think it (as I do with most things).
One positive thing though is I have gotten adjusted to living at my dad's place. At first I thought I would have the whole 'disappointment' and 'pride' issues but overall it hasn't been to bad. I'm sure I've gone over this subject before but for the most part his not hear much and I pretty much have the house to myself. Then again it does make me wonder that if I wasn't here would he be at the house more....for stuff. Its hard to say which is the reason why I feel I should go ahead and move out. Bah back on this topic again.
Right the rest of this week... work I'm sure will keep me busy and it will be Friday sooner than I know it. This weekend I don't see much plan if anything I'll spend part of it knitting, reading, minecraft and some random game that needs attention. The weekends are so short lived now lol. Wouldn't mind getting some HoN in but that's now the top of my list. I plan to do something that will keep me happy though as this weekend is my monthly caffeine benge. I'm really hoping AMP is on sale to give me a good case of the jitters if not I already have plan b ready in the fridge with a bottle of diet pepsi max. Only really got it so a friend would have some way to pay me back. Though I looked at the caffien levels and I would much rather have an AMP. If I have to drop $5 on 2 AMPs sure but I much rather would not.
Actually after staring at my list of steam games I might just have a Recettearathon. Its been far too long sense I played it and starting a file eventually seems necessary. An Asian game with a silly grind may do the trick plus it would be a -1 on the list of steam games to finish. The more I contemplate over it the better it seems.
That's about it for the time being. Going to head upstairs and acquire that extra rest I need. Perhaps it will let me plow over the thoughts a bit better. Anywho night all!

A week with friends and potential stress at work
Its definitely been one of 'those' weeks so far where I'm already looking forward to the weekend. Have to admit as of recently I've been looking forward to the week more so then I had been in the past. I don't plan to cover everything tonight but a quick synopsis of the week thus far I think will do.
Monday - Nothing really eventful though I spent most of my time devising how I would be hanging out with friends this week. Came down to pretty much everyday this week with the exception of Friday that I would be out and about at some location or another. This of course would yield to less sleep than I cared for but Friday I've plan to be the day in which I'll catch up on some of it at least.
Tuesday - Work as per usually though I started taking on tickets that were outside my original project while waiting for other departments to figure out exactly what they wish to do. Went to IHOP with a friend and received more apartment info. This little bit was important as its taking me one step closer to making a final decision in the months to come. From there booked it back to my mom's house to help set-up the TV for the digital conversation thingy... some are working others aren't so I'll need to go back there someday in the near future I'm sure to resolve the issue. Finally got over to friend's place at 8 and listening to political rambles for about 30 minutes and then Rock Band...overall kind of dull. It takes a good bit to 'bore' me I guess but that did it. Went home got about 6 hours.
Today - Went to work had one of my co-workers which use to praise me before kind of look down on me and expected me to be at a level which I thought was a bit unfair. You can't expect me to do simple task that eat up my 8 hour shifts for a solid 2-3 weeks and expect me to dive straight into good and derive SQL statements...I think that's silly. So essentially its sink or swim time...hopefully I'll swim. Got out work went straight to another friends place watched a good bit of podcast which were great and then played a round of Dracula. Having a group that was interested in playing was soooo much better. While we didn't actually inflict any damage on dracula we did get a better idea as to how to follow his path. After the game I find myself back here.
Rest of this week -
Another adventure to a friends place which should result in good times and from there going to head back and call it a night though there should be a good couple solid hours of hanging out. Friday is the resting day with the following stuff I plan to watch:
Dragon Ball Kai 96
SK Gaming HoN Tournament MSI vs DWI game 1 and 2.
Possibly some SC2 grubby stream
Maybe the rest of Kaiji
Gamewise:
Greed Corp (if I continue to be stuck on Cartel campign gonna take a break/rage quit).
Monday Night Combat
Aquria
Saturday and Sunday are in flux at the moment as the last chill session could either be Saturday evening or a portion of Sunday...no idea yet as I'm waiting for a reply from another individual downtown to see if they want to hang out.
That's about it I'm hoping I don't get too stressed in the next few days. If I do Friday is definitely going to be a bit more lax then I usually aim for. Lots of concern on my mind (apartments, job, relationships, etc) trying not to drag my thoughts across them too much...I might blog a bit more this weekend about my current position/standing just to get it out my system but for now I obtain my 6 hours of sleep....or this weekend I might catch up on some overdue sleep. Off to bed night!

Sadness -> Towed Postal Truck -> Ecstatic
Overall today has been a bit of a downer that kind of carried out for a large portion of my day. Not sure why but thoughts I usually don't think about a great deal seem to manifest themselves within me and caused a bit of sadness if anything slight depression. Though I wouldn't really call it depression as it only lasted for about 6-8 hours tops but then again not sure if there's a predefined time limit for feeling bummed. Thoughts along the lines of 'will I ever find myself comfortable, stationary for more than 1 year at at time?', 'after achieving my goal of obtaining a new position to learn new things where do I go from there'...I mean for this one the obvious answer is keep learning but that involves staying put. Not to mention I must confess the idea of obtaining a house has taught me but after moving around so much I'm not sure if I could. Equally what if say a year from now I'm no longer interested in sticking with my current position and wish to move about.
Of course there's always apartments which I'm strongly looking into now but the three choices are entirely up in the air (one with a friend that wants to stay put for 3+ years, another with an individual I would like to help reduce cost as living in the West End by yourself is a pain on cost and the last option with one friend and the other person I don't really know)...but that's a rant for a different day as they each have their respective pros and cons.
Not only this but there was also the thought of 'do people actually enjoy hanging out with me or is it more of a pacification'. I must admit in these past weeks I just waited for invitations for hanging out but it doesn't seem like people are keen to set-up stuff. In the past I usually did these sort of things but of course like the limited sanity person I am wanted to experiment. I've found as of recent I'm no longer the creature that doesn't mind being by himself. Then again I reflected back on this point and starting to realize this creature rarely existed with the exception of some periods in middle school, summer internship and...that's about it. There were times in which I lived by myself and such however I was playing WoW then and it satisfied my social needs, yes my social needs are simplistic.
The recently board game addiction has to be taken into account to as playing board games by yourself can be rather boring or entertaining. Given yes there's the pile of steam games that I need to finish playing through but I'm not really in any hurry to finish that up. Finish my steam list would be some what similar to sitting down and saying "I'm going to read the Koran/Bible/War and Peace in one sitting" it simply won't happen and if anything burn yourself out more as a result. Though this is not the exclude the fact that Greed Corp has been receiving a bit more attention then usually.
Not sure if I recall anything else that had been lurking about in my head. I'm sure by typing all this the rest of the thoughts went into a corner in the back of my head plotting a new day to strike. Eurodance did get a bit of it out my head but then it seemed to re manifest back and forth based on the song I was listening too. For songs that revolved around freedom, happiness, uplifting, music, vibes and all the wonderfully stuff a grin would spread across my face and I would be quite cheerful. Though when songs about relationships, explicit hints of various activities, 'hitting up some girl' it just made me go 'blah' over the whole thing. Decided at that point to either keep listening till it got better, in which case it really didn't and switch to listening to "Lord of the Rings".
As for the actually day itself like i said not too great. I started running out of work to do so I'm finding myself obtaining work that's outside the project I'm suppose to be working on and finding a lot of tickets which are put on hold as a result. Which of course makes me feel a bit useless even though its not my concern. Not a huge fan of road blocks I much prefer to keep pushing forward as far as I can and when I see a wall to plow through it...can do that here.
I did eventually cheer up though as I talked to myself in the car and that seem to get a bit of the bog out but the one thing that really cheered me up was when i was passing by a 7-11. There was a postal truck being towed away there. To be honest I had never seen a postal truck being towed before it seemed quite odd. This immediately caused me to burst into laughter and keep a smile on my face for the rest of the trip. It was just too awesome I mean...if it had been any other type of car I probably would have shrugged it off but a postal truck...too good :).
Once I got home I watched a quick HoNcast match and I have DB Kai 96, Super Ghost and Ghouls along with EarthBound speed runs all ready and avaliable for watching. I might go out and walk for a bit before it gets too dark before I begin watching these. That's about it for now..oh wait.
The only other variable I can consider that brought me down was delaying my blog or expressing my thoughts as much as I wished to which could have potentially lead to mental back up. Not 100% sure on this theory but throwing it out there. Definitely glad I blogged today :).
Anywho now I'm out la ta
This week (and my apologizes)
I must admit I have not been all that attentive to my blog as of recently due to actually getting to sleep at a reasonable time. Each night this week I've gotten about 7+ hours so its a start in the write direction. Though I am finding myself to be sleepier at work which is odd that you think with more sleep you would be less yawny and dozing off and such. Now looking back on it I think I've been more awake with the less sleep I got but who knows that's just throwing something out there. This will be the typically blog post but going to skim over what happen yesterday along with today to not make the post too long winded...so here we go.
Yesterday I had my first release and I had not realize that a certain field would play a role so part of the morning was spent tweaking the form and correcting an error I made in my script. There was some good news however as it wasn't a major form so there wasn't a store being held up or taken down as a result. Definitely a plus. Once I got home played some HoN and watched some SC2 streams. Also found the entire play list of di.fm for eurodance which about 60% of the 10 gigs found its way on to my MP4 players...quite magical I must say. Read another chapter of a new book I had sitting in wait (48 laws of power) then rested soon after.
Today wasn't too bad either no releases but there's no plenty of stuff to work on. I have to admit the demand of work is definitely increasing as there's now only 2 team members on our team (that work specifically on the stuff we were working on) but hopefully will get more soon otherwise this might be a bit nightmarish. I'm starting to have back thoughts of working another corporate job but with IT (lol typed it that way on accident and leaving it that way) being the norm in this career path can't be helped in some cases. I will be considering playing around in Unity soon to see how it handles game development. Have to start somewhere and grow from there. Either that or work for a small company but that wouldn't be for a while from now.
Not much else to say for this evening, oh ya last thing. I started coming up with ideas of a board game carrying case I'm considering making. Its main component will be wood and would hold boards for games along with cards, tokens, dice and etc. There is another alternative that I found on board game geeks which is this.
http://www.sciplus.com/search.cfm?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=search&utm_content=cf&utm_campaign=celsearchtest&formfield1234567891=0&formfield1234567892=2&formfield1234567894=&term=Stor-It-All+Box&btnHand.x=0&btnHand.y=0
It would be fantastic for card games but as for the actually boards themselves, not so much. I could have a carry bag I bring along with me that holds the boards but I would rather have one on inclusive device that could do it...so here's what I drafted up.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/ddrpad/DSCN0113.jpg
The top bit is basically the bottom layer with 2 pockets on each side (mainly for holding card decks) while the bottom is a drawer which can be used to hold board games. The middle image is more of stack of pocket tiles which could be used to store cards and other misc items. The last image is the top which basically would hold it all together via a strap or some other mechanism. Just brain storming at this point and open to ideas of course :).
Well that's officially it for now la ta!

Saturday 3-12-11, So Awesome
For tonight this will be my first blog entry. There's definitely a possibility of more than one entry tonight (as I already have one that's about a quarter of the way done) but at the moment will start with start here and move on from there. I would go on about today but not a whole lot happen with the exception of feeling painfully ill in the morning, finishing 1984 along with finishing reading 1984 and completely a good list of task on my 'to do list' for the week. Won't go into too much detail so on to Saturday.
Saturday:
Upon waking up Saturday I had a fairly clear idea that I would be spending a large amount of time over at Mina's place... little did I realize that it would turn into a 12+ hour stay, not that I'm complaining if anything I'm quite pleased at the overall stay and not driving anyone insane in the process of being there so long lol. In either case let me continue on with my story.
I found myself waking up at around 8:40ish and chatting on line for a bit before heading out on my adventure for the day. I did however neglect to clean up a bit before heading out (though Id id take care of a good bit of it today) but none the less it could wait till later, there was much fun to be had.
First stop was to the bank to cash my federal which took all of 5-10 minutes. I recall of days long past that there use to be lines at the early hours of the bank and reflected on this bit of nostalgia while waiting. Once the check was cashed I made my way down to Midlothian for the breakfast/lunch combination known as sbos. There was already a few people there once I arrived and spent the most part of the morning just watching random stuff on netflixs. This bit was a bit boring as I'm not a huge fan of watching stuff (minus esports stuff which seems to have caught my interest a bit more as of late) though the social aspects certainly can't be ignored.
Before and during the sbos there was much conversation chatting and chilling. I choose to skip the meal as I usually do. Its kind of a bad habit of mine as I really should have breakfast as it is one of those 'important meals of the day' sorta of thing. My mind seems to work just fine without i though. I might switch back to eating breakfast but probably won't be till Aprilish. After the meal was complete bits and pieces of gaming began.
Nothing drawn out was played mostly quick brief games as many people had to head off to work anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours to work. First game played was Zombie Dice after which a quick round of Monopoly Deal and Fluxx were played. Once these games were played everyone has pretty much departed in which myself and Mina chilled which lead to shopping at Kroger. One of the items gathered from there was pound cake which was all sorts of awesome. A great deal of girl scout jokes ensued as well as it seemed to be a general agreement amongst the group that girl scoots were giving there best efforts via gps, iphone/droid apps, flares and other means of communication to keep the greatest distance away from Mina as possible.
Once all the food was gathered Ultimate Alliance 2 was played in order to kill time between letting butter melt. So much to the extent that we forgot why we were playing it in the first place. As time past more people began to make there way back for more entertainment that evening. The rest of the night was spent playing Rock Band (finding myself getting a lot better at it), Dominion and Choronaughts. One of the parts I enjoyed most was introducing new games to people which is always a great feeling and look forward to that continue. Though there's always those games I wish I could convience people in playing that don't get played often but not much I can do there :p.
I left during some late hour of the morning full content of the time which was had. Of course there was great detail for each part such as who won each game, watching of Emperors new groove, and reassembling the Star Ship Interprise but they seemed unimportant to the overall story. On to Sunday!
Sunday:
It was one of those typically Sunday's after an awesome Saturday. When your brain enters lazy mode and you honestly don't feel like doing anything. To be honest the most I did was watch HoNcast. The rest of the day was pretty much watching SC2 streams with rave/trance/eurodancing playing in the background. While I must admit the results of the HoNcast match was a bit disappointing it was overall entertaining. Though I didn't find myself going to bed till about 2 in the morning which I regreted today...really need to stop staying up for silly reasons...that was Sunday for the most part. I did read up on some of the Dominion expansion rules but I'll still need to take sometime to evaluate which dominion set would be best for our group. Would pose questions but don't think anyone is that deeply interested in it.
Think that's all I want to write about now so gonna chill for a bit and probably head to bed in teh near future.
Oh random note found this out a while back the command line command 'shutdown' is fantastic. Figured I'd share :).

This weekend was too awesome...
It was definitely one of those weekends were so much stuff happen that it would take me at least a good solid hour to blog out everything...and as such I'll generate an entry for it tomorrow. Also working on another freelance entry. If the cards fall in the right pegs (or whatever analogy it is) I'll have a 2-3 solid post covering this weekend along with a rant. However for now I am quite tired and off to bed.
Night all :D!
Night all :D!

An early Saturday approaches
Tomorrow heading over to a friends house for a gathering and some sort of lunch activity I can't recall exactly how to spell. So as a result going to head off to bed soon but before I do updates!
This morning/work wasn't shabby more of the same. I was actually waiting on a database refresh which never happen which was a bit annoying to be honest. Usually the DB teams is fairly quick but its normally a 2 day work request so there well within there means not provide it the same day. Just got a bit use to it lol. I played with a co-workers 'wrist ball' which is basically a gyro ball used to practice for rock climbing activities. I'm trying my very best not to buy one as the device is quite fun. As for actually work I putz around with a form that I'm pretty darn sure now we have to engage another team due to all the tweaks I've made to it so far with no avail.
Once work was done I came home and listen to dance/rave music and watched Grubby (pro) play SC2. It wasn't shabby watching to be honest I much prefer watching SC2 from a POV perspective rather than the obs which is a bit boring compared to SC observation. That and there was a match that lasted longer than 30 minutes which was well worth the watch. The rest of the matches were ok from an observation perspective. Also didn't know a Master League existed (top 2% players) which I think is neat. Though it makes me sad that such mythologies don't carry to other games made by Blizz (though that could be argued) but different teams work on both of them so can't argue much there.
Watched some HoN cast and then was pretty close to sleepiness but I've woken up a bit sense them. Fairly sure I'll be going upstairs in the next 30 minutes or so.
That's about it for now long and (hopefully) entertaining day ahead. later all!

It was one of those busy Thursdays
Title pretty much says it all. I actually woke up feeling like I got a solid amount of sleep last night (though i can't imagine myself getting more than 7 hours) and that definitely made me feel I started it off on the right foot. Initially got to work and was a bit short on work till the databases refreshed which allowed me spend the rest of the day working away on forms. Since yesterday I started listening to 'The Hobbit', ready by Robert Ingles, and its been fantastic so far. The singing reminds me of something out of a disney film and I'll most likely actually sit down and read it once I finish listening to it in the near future. During lunch break I was unsuccessful at finding a JCP near West End so I settled for getting gas and grabbing a sugar cookie from WaWa for lunch.
Once the work day was over I stopped by my mom's place to grab my federal return which overall is about as much as I had estimated, though actually having the check now is making me a bit flustered about what I want to do with it, spend, save or both. I've found that recently (and for a good portion of life tbh) I've enjoyed saving money so spending it doesn't 'feel' right. Equally I can't think of much to spend it on aside from board games and well of course today cloths.
This was the first time I had been cloth shopping in about 3 years. Sure on occasions such as Christmas or my B-day I would get clothes but nothing on such a scale/levels of shopping that I did today. At work the dress code is casual though I've been dressing formal for a good bit partly due to habit and trying to save money which I did an excellent job last month. I thought about saving money this month but I realized that with the federal and the excess expenditures from the new position that I could well...'live a little'. So I bought myself a pair of khakis, 2 jeans, some dress socks, boxers and...that's about it. The total was a bit much but I had a $50 gift card so that chopped off a bit. Not to mention I had budgeted for potentially $200 so I was way under my original expectations.
With shopping complete I went out to grab food and then make my way to hang out with friends and play Rock Band 3. Similar to all the other genres in its series its more of the same with playing instruments and singing songs with friends. To be honest I was glad to just to hang out with people as I don't get to do it but so often and on special occasions. Good times were had. I should have left earlier so I could get a bit more sleep but I stayed as long as I wish to.
I did get a quick shock as I forgot to turn the lights off on my car as I was listening to NPR while consuming food, but it started right up so no worries. Once I got back home did my budget cringed a bit and shrugged it off as I decided this month was a bit of give and take budget wise and realized in the upcoming weeks I can still meet my budget goals.
As for tomorrow not much planned except maybe listen to more 'The Hobbit' when I get home or read '1984' don't plan to stay up late and going to catch up on sleep so I can make sbos Saturday morning. Should be good fun. Anywho I want at least 5 hours tonight so I'm off to bed night all!.

4 hours of sleep and DKC2 OST keeps me going.
To be honestly I'm actually surprised I'm still awake, though I will be venturing upstairs soon rest assure (no pun intended). Today has been one of those some what lengthy yet short days at the same time where intervals of time either go extremely quick (3-5 pm) or exceptional slow (1-2 pm). I sort of have a plan to get to bed effective tonight as my pull up bar and 20 lb weight is weighting for me upstairs....ok enough of that on to my day.
Go to work on time and was one of those semi business days with a good deal of mind = blown. I figured out make a certain item display which involved linking a record/row in a database to 3-4 other tables which was slightly nightmarish...its kind of working in the sense that I'll need to look at it more tomorrow but it is doing what I wish for it to do from the back end. Also found out my one form printed properly so I can schedule a full US release soon (woot!).
After work got home and had an urge for pizza so played a round of HoN and went out to get lil c's. Its still as awful as I remember as my stomach still isn't feeling to well but it'll go away in due time. Played a bit more HoN and that was my day. Going to make sure I'm upstairs by 10 so I can be unconcious in the near future. That and 1984 requires my attention.
Only one scheduled plan for this week and that's Rock Band 3 with a few friends so I'll need to practice a small bit of GH3 just to remember how the figuring goes. Then again rhythm games such as those are pretty much instinctive with the exception of weaken muscle memory...guess that's the main purpose. Hopefully some board games will ensue as well. On that same day I'll probably stop by JCPenny to get clothes for work (first time actually shopping in 3 years o.o) and stop by mum's to get the federal check...no idea what I'm going to do with it, most likely save it, a rant for another day though.
Before I get too side track I'm going to work out brief and head off to bed. Night all!

Games for Consideration 2011
This has honestly been a topic of debate for myself on and off over the last couple months as of recently the games in which I want on steam has greatly depleted and also realizing that if I actually completely half the list of steam games I currently own I'll be running dry sometime early next year. Which to say there might be more title for me to accumulate by then. However for now time to go over a list of games which tempt me thus far this year.
*****Video Games*****
Portal 2:
Usually I tend to hold off on steam games when purchasing upon them being initially released however Portal 2 is starting to seem more of an exception to the rule. Kind of like Killing Floor and Sol Survivor (the only two indie games I've purchased on release day). On one hand the lowest I can get it for is $40 bucks which for steam (and myself) is a fairly large lump sum to drop on a game. I know that given a month or two the price would drop significantly or a deal would become avaliable (i.e: Dead Space 2 released for $60 about a month and half ago and now its $40). However lets be honest its Portal 2, which Portal gave me a good bit of fun trying to speed run it (latest version) in sub one hour and the madness that ensued as a result of step challenges. Equally I feel I'll be 'missing out' for once which usually I tend to shrug it off but in this case don't feel like I can. I'll have to wait and see how things go.
Dungeon Defenders:
This title was actually pointed out to me by a friend who gave the basic description of 'think of a tower defense game, now add a first person shooter element, a leveling system and thus you have Dungeon Defenders). To be honest this was more than enough to tempt me / consider picking up the game. However its kind on that similar level of Recetear for me. Part of me wants to pick it up because it sounds like such a great title and it would do a great job of consuming my life. Though on that same pretense it makes me want to run away and never touch it until its on sale. Equally I'll need to see if there's any bugs/glitches after release. One title that comes to mind that has been quite sucessful so far is 'Magicka'. While I played the demo and enjoy the concept of the game, it honest felt very rushed and the patch notes speak for themselves there but that's a rant for another day. Not much information on this game either except for screenshots and vague descriptions of classes. A wait and see.
Age of Wonder:
An RTS I've kept my eye on for a while saw it on sale and missed the opportunity and thus endlessly plaguing me. It has a great deal of classes and heroes to play as and well can't say much more unfortunately. Do want though but not high priority.
*****Board Games*****
I must make this note that there's a great deal more board games I want than video games as I find that each day I'm slowly starting to grow tired of them or don't have much time to play them anymore. Though the video games are nice to play when its not possible to amass a group of people for a board game session. I would like to have more board game sessions in the future though which would encourage me to pick up more, but for the time being there more of a 'I want but no practical use for them yet' situation.
Agricola:
I saw this game at Magfest this year and have to admit its tempted me quite a bit. The basic objective of the game is to raise a family on your farm and you have a choice of one action each turn in how you wish to progress it (kind of like Race For The Galaxy or Puerto Rico). I downloaded the rules for it as well and its something I would definitely be interested in playing with a group. Have to admit that after Catan I have a soft spot for agriculture based games which revolve around building up things from scratch.
Puerto Rico:
Similar note to Agricola not sure much else to say from here. Another game in which you have to pick phases you wish to execute while the opponents can't take the opportunity to take those choices.
Yomi:
Its a card game/board game that tempts me that utilizes a 'read the opponent system'. The basic choices in a turn are throw, attack, block that work in a paper rock scissors fashion (block -> attack -> throw -> block etc). After you land an attack you can combo those into additional cards from your hand based on a number system. The benefit of blocking allows you to net more cards in your hand. The main setback that keeps me from purchasing this is the price model. You can purchase 2 decks for $20 or the full set of 10 decks for $80 dollars. I would like to at least sample the game for cheaper however I feel I'm getting ripped off if I only by the first two sets and then discover after playing that I thoroughly enjoy the game. That dilemma is currently keeping me away.
Dominion *insert expansion here*:
Dominion is essentially the card game that revolves around the whole german style of winning of purchasing or obtaining victory points. Right not 'Intrigue' is the set I'm currently considering and don't really have any quarls picking it up. Equally Prosperity and Cornucopia (came out this year) looks interesting too. Though its one of those things were I don't want to drop $30-$50 per set and find that I play it on a very rare bases (kind of how I play it now). None the less this is probably going to be one of my initially board game purchases.
Thunder Stone:
Similar to Dominion and would like to compare the two. Only reason I would consider getting it.
*****List of other games*****
Below are a list of other games I've been thinking about getting but aren't super high on the priority list due to:
a) Just not interested in it and don't feel its warranted the money yet.
b) Would want to play it with a group first prior to obtaining my own copy.
c) I really want a copy of it however I would probably be the only one interested in playing it.
Dead Space 2
Power Grid
Small World
Lego Harry Potter (for PC)
Multiwini
Warcraft TCG (mainly to build class decks to let friends raid with)
Race for the Galaxy
Mahjong
Shogi
Hmm think that's about it. Not really continuing this as my freelance session its something I've had documented in list form and just wanted to get it posted to maybe get some feedback or to just look back on it to recall the specific reasons why i was thinking about 'x' over 'y' or 'z' instead of 'c'.
Getting a bit late so off to bed nite all!

Getting a bit late so off to bed nite all!
Monday, you did good.
Though I must admit the day is not over yet and currently contemplating on venturing out to take care of a few things before it becomes any later. Will see though as I would like to actually get to bed early for once and accumulate more than 7 hours of sleep (though knowing me I'll plan for 8-10 hours and sleep for 6-7 for some reason). Anywho on with my day.
I departed from the house a bit later than I would have wanted to and as a result was about 10 minutes late for work (though I did make up for it during lunch time). During the early morning hours there wasn't a great deal of things to do unfortunately. At first there was a form that required being feed through a printer which from the horror stories I heard made me believe that it would take all morning to work on. About 15-30 minutes later the issue was resolved which allowed me sometime to go attend to other work...assuming I had other work. For a brief period I found myself contemplating over my next action while listening to Harry Potter however in a short bit a co-worker let me know I was free to use a server I had been waiting on so I began work on that.
While I was attending to this work when the DBA admin let me know that a server was free so out of no where I had plenty of work to attend to. I was able to complete it all and have nothing carrying over into to tomorrow. Just have to wait for database refreshes at this point so I can continue progress through the fairly sizable work load. Once work was done though made my way home reheated some pizzas, watched a couple TSA (Tool Assisted) speed runs (Super Punch Out and Mega Man X) along with the latest Dragon Ball Kai episode. Finally got my haircut which was well overdue and I find myself blogging now plotting what to do next.
Part of me is thinking about heading to Target or Wal-Mart to get some jeans so I can stop wearing business causal and start wearing casual to work. On the other hand going upstairs and reading is also tempting as it could possible provoke me to lie down early. Lastly there's working out which I am far overdue for so I can start aiming for my weight goal this year (165) though being content in the 170 range I find it hard to make the first step. In either case I'm sure I'll figure out something even if it involves more blogging.
I'm off to go do these things I'm uncertain off later all!

Overall a fairly awesome weekend
I must admit that this past weekend has probably been one of the best weekends I've had in quite sometime or even this month. Today was essentially the type of day I had anticipated consisting of watching Shoutcast and relaxing. Not much more to say about that so with this day complete time to look forward to the week ahead.
Work wise this week will probably be more of the same unless new work is added into my queue. I should be done listening to Harry Potter Book 7 while I'm there and recently obtained a sizable list of recommended music I plan to find discographies for so I can listen to them at work. No board game or hangout sessions plotted out as of yet though if neither of those events occur I'll probably spend some time in my room reading or progressing a bit more in Greed Corp. There is a small bit of shopping I need to take care of and a cutting of hair that needs attending to but neither is considered high priority at the moment.
Not much for me to say tonight as not much has happen sense the party except for extreme boats of laziness. Which on that note off to bed (as I could use the sleep). Instead of doing a free lance entry on Wednesday/Thursday I'm going to project to one tomorrow or Tuesday. Will see

Yesterday WE defend Richmond, Tonight a Bday Party
Before I forget how awesome this weekend was or unable to recall detailed accounts of each superb moment, I believe now would be a good time to sit down and document all the good times which have been had over this weekend. Will begin with Friday evening as work that day was busy as usually and not all that eventful.
Friday Evening:
Upon returning home I performed the usually actions of documenting my budget and just checking various e-mails I missed over the day. I jumped on HoN briefly and was coaxed into a quick game with a friend I play with on occasion. Unfortunately we got roughed up pretty badly and based on time constraints there was no way to squeeze in a redemption game. I had a quick meal of pop-tarts and an ego waffle before heading out to the concert. Right before I got to the car I realized that I did not have any dollar bills on me though lucky there was a Wachovia near by (across the street actually) so that issue was resolved quickly.
Once in the parking not I noticed an individual with a jacket and a bandanna which was unmistakable the good friend which I meet at Magfest which informed me about the concert. I yelled out to him which in turn he turned around and greeted me with a smile. Initially I was so excited to see him I forgot to roll up my window and make sure my car was in the park position. It was definitely great to see him as we exchanged stories of the past several months. This was not the only individual I encountered this evening several of his friend that I also saw at Magfest were in attendance as well. It was quite a wonderful reunion of acquaintances which I could almost consider friends. Unfortunately they live about an hour away so I would be able to hang out with them on a regular basis.
There was much conversation prior to Protomen playing (as they were the 3rd act) as Lailat
Galaxy and Parlour Shakedown were the opening acts. Lialat Galaxy wasn't exactly my cup of team though Parlour Shakedown wasn't too shabby. During this time we spent time inside having random conversations and talking about the location of the concert. Basically it was an old duck pins bowling aisle which they removed some of the lanes and created a pit and a band playing area. The outside location was fairly sketchy but it was much cooler than inside which felt like a mini sauna. After much anticipation Protomen finally set-up and came on to stage.
Something tells me I will be unable to fully express the amount of awesome which occurred over the next 1-1.5 hours. A man with a mask (similar to andross from Star Fox for the SNES {http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4022/4499440822_7c8f74b710.jpg} ) enter the stage and asked the audience if we were ready to defend Richmond, Virginia tonight. The crowded roared with approval, however he was not pleased and asked again. An even more audible noise came from the pit along with a few colossus roars for good measure. This time he was pleased, conclude his speech and the show began.
At least 5-6 songs were played detailing a story as the it transitioned from one song to the next. With any group hearing the band live was just on a completely different level. Through out the night there was much re-reciting of lyrics, fist pumping, headbanging, crowd surfing (twice), pushpit (kind of like a moshpit but with much less punch and kicking), and in rhythm clapping. It was...simply fantastic. After the final song the crowd was not pleased and chanted "We won't go!". The man who asked if we were prepared requested for another colossus roar in which the crowd obligated without question. He responded "God I love that, can't get enough" along those lines and 2-3 more songs were played. Richmond was safe once again and the pit made an exodus towards the entrance/exit.
Proceeding the show I requested a fellow Magfest friend to see if he could rally people to come to my dad's place to play some board games to press the evening forward. I was able to convince 1 additional person before heading back to my dad's place in which games such as Mancala, Zombie Dice, Fluxx, and Choronauts ensued. My urge for board game was quite high and it was definitely a well needed activity. One of the fellows who was with us was a bit bummed that he didn't talk to a certain female to hope that he could spark some sort of social conversations. While he was being a bit hard on himself going out to the garage to keep himself in solitude and 'get over it' I sorta felt the same as there was one person that caught my interest but I choose not to peruse.
The two things which stop me was creating a topic of discussion (as most of my conversations tend to start off a bit random such as 'If you could take two kitchen appliances fuse them together than replace one of your vital organs with it, which two appliances would you choose and what organ would you replace?) and it was more so on an attractiveness level which I hate to go towards that direction as I much prefer to know more about an individual. Its what's floating in there brain liquids that count. None the less after the games we were able to cheer him up which was a plus.
As for myself the rest of the evening consisted of watching some Shoutcast for HoN and biding my time before the sleep cabinet ninjas took me to dreamland. Eventually I did lie to rest on a some what pleasant note.
Saturday:
Overall not a great deal of sleep was gathered that evening as upon falling a sleep at 6 am I woke up at approximately noon. After 2 hours of lying down and goofing off in front of the computer I figured it was about time for me to start my day. After ordering pizza and watching a bit more shoutcast I decided to take a nap (which is extremely rare for me) however woke up a short while later to hear my cell phone vibrating due to a phone call. I ignored it but decided to situate myself and prepare for the b-day party ahead.
Unfortunately I was unable to think of a gift but decided to attend a bit early. I will need to device something for next time when we hang out to present as a gift. Overall the party wasn't too shabby there was a lot of drinking and use of substance which I don't approve of but would never judge an individual for using them. So for the most part I sat down watched South Park, some Jimi Hedricks and Atlas videos for the duration. The most amusing part I must say is there cat which was very energetic and could not stop running around the room at random. It was definitely great to see it flying all over the place. Equally I found out a great deal more about harmonicas then I could have possible imagined.
Once everyone started to become sleepy I departed and roamed for a bit searching for my car, panicked when seeing how low my gas was, ventured to a WaWa and made it home safely. The rest of this morning I've spent updating my blog and venturing various websites. No real plans for tomorrow gonna play it by ear and perhaps read a bit of 1984 so I can go ahead and start on the next book before the end of this month. That's about all for now.
G'nite everyone and hope your weekend is going well thus far!

Outgrown RP or Meh GM?
Don't plan to do a full blog today as my work day was pretty much more of the same without too many complications with fairly straight forward work. The bit after work was a bit different and definitely a 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me scenario'. Though on the same accord I did promise that I would be attending and I usually try my best not to go back against my word.
So went down to midlo for another tabletop session which lasted about 3 hours. The first .5-1 hour of it was waiting on people to arrive so we could actually begin (as not starting on time is about the norm). The remaining 2 hours was spent with pre-plot and explanation of the scenario/environment in which it takes place. That's about it I had to depart once the combat system got started. Though there's one aspect I do enjoy about it and that's the overall conversational bits of full blown randomness which is all in good fun. Though I wish the GM would take more control of the situation instead of letting the group get extremely sidetracked. Its probably the last session I'll be attending to be honest. Think the only major set back was I could have went to a Symphony tonight which I partly look back on and frown a bit...
Well enough of the ranty/angst stuff tomorrow (assuming all goes well) I'll be attending the protomen concert and meet up with a few people which should be pretty awesome. I might not stay for the entire show but at least for the protomen portion (I think they come on second) equally though if that falls through (lol) then plan is to just chill at home for the evening or maybe device some sort of back-up to hang out with someone else...no idea yet. Saturday is looking good though as I have a b-day party to attend which good times should roll there. We shall see.
Can't stay up much longer need rest and my eyes are actually getting watery from staring at the screen. Night all!

Bathroom Cleaned!
To be honest couldn't think of a clever title to come up with and sorta feel like going to sleep early but to rest this early would be close to crazy talk so I'm refraining from doing so. A bit glad tomorrow is Thursday and finally starts the 'social interaction' portion of my week which should continue well into the weekend. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't Sunday appears to be a bit slow but will see how it goes.
As for today typically morning routine and a typically day at work I must say. Did get a text message from a friend that made me contemplate/smile which tis a plus. Though I must say I'm starting to feel a bit dumb at times in the sense that there's some concepts I should have picked up on but haven't grasped 100%. I mean its title little stuff that I forget where I look back on it and kind of facepalm at something that should have been intuitive. None the less I'm still pulling off some good/valid questions which boost the confidence I must say. There was one interesting note in which a co-worker showed me some website that has really advance versions of Risk that take place over days (http://www.conquerclub.com/). I probably won't pick it up myself but something for those that might be interested. Equally you can play multiple matches at at time which is neat. In either case on the ride back I helped a friend troubleshoot a friend's PC which it turned out later that evening it was a herpa derp issue.
Once I got home I made arrangements to play a few HoN matches which our team won both and pleased me very much so as I was playing 'mid' both games. Once that was done I went upstairs and did a 'B' job on cleaning the bathroom. Really need a scrubber and toilet cleaner to get the type of glow I'm looking for. After that I find myself hear blogging. To be honest don't even feel like blogging tonight mostly doing so to kill time... really want to go to sleep, lol. Either that or blog about the random topic which unfortunately I may not get to as I have that RP session tomorrow night. Will see that play it by ear.
That's about all for now g'nite all!.

5 Days Left in this Week
Tuesday I have to admit was a bit more taxing then I had originally anticipated as I had a fairly solid idea as to how I wish to approach the day but by the time I was done with my work my head was feeling all sorts of lazy and didn't exactly get better toward the end of the days.
Last night I probably got about 4 hours of sleep due to being partly excited about performing a release today so not a great deal of sleep but ingested another blue streak (the last one thank god) and proceed my way to work a bit earlier than usually. Got to the office around 7:51ish and started the release around 8:05 finishing it at about 8:40. I felt pretty confident throughout the entire process as it was very similar to the work I had been doing for about the past 2 weeks. There's one set back of having to check the store everyday to make sure the forms print but aside from that no real issues. The rest of the day was a bit less eventful with trying to determine how to manipulate the forms that were the server. I eventually took a break and started working on another state and concluded the evening working on foreign language forms.
Once I got home pretty much Sat down and played HoN and lost 3 times...was hoping to have at least one solid round but teammates were just incredible awful this evening. On one note I'm a bit frustrated on the other its given me a bit of an incentive to tackle other titles. After that was done practice the Harmonica for about 10-15 minutes and I plan to go to bed in the near future. Dad's still taking time off so no bathroom cleaning for today. He may even have the week off though I can't say for sure. The only other thing on my mind is following up with my fellow Magfest friend about this Friday and the concert. No additional updates at the moment gonna head upstairs read and sleep. Just hoping tomorrow is a bit less mind taxing. Normally I don't mind the taxing of the brain but with 4 hours of sleep anything seems like a bit much lol.
Similar to last week either tomorrow or Thursday I'm going to have another 'free' entry and talk about whatever subjects on the top of my mind. There are already a few that come to mind such as 'potential video/board games to pick up for 2011', 'views on current video game market in comparison to the market of the 1980s' , 'reflection on goals completed thus far this year', 'expectation of events to come' or even posting a dream would be nice if I ever have one again in the near future. Plenty of stuff that just flops to the top of my head though some require a bit of thought.
Off I go to rest night all!
